Heart of the Prairie by Pam Buda, Marcus Fabrics

The Heart of the Prairie fabric line by Pam Buda is based on the time period of 1840-1900 when families moved west by wagon to begin new homesteads. Women sewed everything for their home and made due with what they had. There were no stores, little money so the “making do” was a way of life. The only splurge was for fabric for their Sunday dress. Life was hard yet the women managed to create amazing quilts and all the clothes and bedding and drapery needed for a household. The dusky simple prairie look echos in the simple flower print and dusky green background fabric.
